Ostuni – North London

It was a nice summer day to go out for lunch at a recommended Italian restaurant in Highgate London. it was 12noon and the restaurant was still waiting for diners. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the service continued be great during the whole meal. After finding a suitable table, water and the menus were quickly carried over to the table. The menu looked great as did the interior of the restaurant. Both were Southern Italian themed. I ordered mixed garden salad as a starter, as did my lunch companion, and I also ordered the baby chicken for main. The baby chicken proved to be a massive bird which took me a good one hour to eat. As a side, I also ordered the fried zucchini to share, which is a naughty pleasure I like to order if it is available. My companion ordered vegetable pasta with truffles, which was apparently really good. The fresh starter salads were also well received especially as it was quite hot weather in London. For desert there was selection of ice cream, here pistachio, but also lemon and champagne sorbet.

The restaurant seemed to be child friendly. Also the ambiance was nice in this spacious restaurant during the lunch hour. They also have a restaurant at Queen’s Park.
